The two-storey wood construction was realised in the shortest possible building time using the Steko wood construction system. The commercial building, which measures 46.5 m x 15.5 m, is accessible via central stairways. The administration, the factory halls and the canteen with the attached crèche are located in the four opening rooms. The delicate interior construction is designed as an open room with pillars. Partitions have been erected using lightweight construction.

One example for the cost-effective industrial and commercial construction is the commercial building Sulzer in Schaffhausen. Several companies have got their office space in the building, which was erected in 1999. The building stands out for its generosity and outstanding working climate. Architecture and project management were led by the company Integra Baurealisation in Schaffhausen. The cavity ceilings of laminated timber planks and Kerto planks cover a distance of 8.40 m. The largest parts of the interior walls are clad in plaster. Outside, the light blue upend casing distinguishes the building skeleton from the surrounding industrial buildings. The building dimensions are L/W/H 33.00 m x 8.90 m x 6.44 m. What was interesting was the result of a comprehensive price comparison: solid building 110%, wood frame building 115%, Steko 100%. |
